Secondary and Baccalaureate

From 12 to 18 years old. Year 7 to Year 12

OBJECTIVES IN SECONDARY AND BACCALAUREATE

In middle and high school, we continue to strengthen our educational approach based on proven methodologies, such as Project-Based Learning and Problem-Based Learning, to ensure learning remains collaborative and practical. We combine content from different subjects to show students the real-life application of what they learn, integrating knowledge and developing critical and creative thinking.

In this new phase, we have a stricter schedule, with each subject taught in specialized classrooms by expert teachers. Students move from classroom to classroom, with a short 5-minute break between classes to organize and prepare for the next session, using their individual lockers located in the building's common areas.

We continue to expand skills in presenting projects, public speaking, and innovative problem-solving. We incorporate non-academic subjects such as Financial Literacy, Personal Economics, Marketing, Tax, Political, and Legal knowledge, Excel, and Programming, among others, to provide a comprehensive education that prepares students for the real world.

Finally, we offer International Education in English, allowing our students to continue their university education anywhere in the world, ensuring an excellent, adaptable education geared toward global success.

HIGHLIGHTS
IN SECONDARY AND BACCALAUREATE SCHOOL:

METHODOLOGY

In secondary and high school, we continue to apply Project-Based Learning and Problem-Based Learning methodologies to foster active, integrated, and practical learning. These strategies allow students to address real-life problems and work on multidisciplinary projects that connect content from different subjects. Each subject is taught by specialized teachers in dedicated classrooms, ensuring high-quality instruction geared toward the practical application of knowledge. We also reinforce the importance of uniting talents, replacing competition with collaboration by having students work as a team.

Furthermore, learning is enhanced through activities that develop communication skills, creativity, and the ability to present projects, preparing students to face real-world challenges. This approach, based on the latest scientific advances in brain development, is complemented by an English-language learning environment, which facilitates preparation for international university studies.

ASIGNATURAS

In secondary and high school, each subject is taught in classrooms specially designed to enhance learning, creating ideal physical environments adapted to the specific needs of each subject. Our specialized teachers ensure in-depth and rigorous teaching, while the interdisciplinary approach connects content from different areas to apply knowledge in real-life contexts. Taking advantage of our students' maturity, we incorporate more complex non-academic subjects, such as Financial Education, Personal Finance, Marketing, and Programming, which complement traditional training and prepare students for real-world challenges. This comprehensive model, taught entirely in English, ensures that our students develop academic competencies and practical skills, developing into individuals prepared to successfully face their professional and personal lives.

DAY

The school day is organized with a stricter and more structured schedule. Each subject is taught in specialized classrooms, and students have short breaks to go to their lockers and deposit and collect the materials needed for the next class. Work is done primarily in the classroom, under the guidance of highly trained teachers. At home, moderately supportive homework is assigned to review key concepts when necessary, without overloading the students. We ensure that the afternoons are as free as possible for students to enjoy personal and family time. This approach balances the intense academic workload during the school day with rest periods, ensuring comprehensive and sustainable development.

TECHNOLOGY

At our school, we maintain a philosophy of moderate technology use in the classroom, avoiding prolonged exposure to screens throughout the day. We prioritize the use of physical materials on paper whenever possible and encourage technology sharing in work groups. Digital devices are used only to search for information needed to solve problems posed by the teacher, ensuring timely and focused use. However, specific subjects such as programming and Excel will be taught in specialized classrooms with one computer per student, ensuring effective learning tailored to the needs of each subject.
