Educational Excellence

Canada has one of the most powerful educational systems in the world.

If we combine this tradition with the passion and dedication we have brought to education since 1985, we create one of the most powerful schools in Seville for primary education.

This excellence is the result of taking care of even the smallest details that help improve our students' performance.

We explain the details that create Educational Excellence :

PERSONALIZATION

Personalization is an essential pillar for offering an education that focuses on each student's unique abilities and strengths. Every child is different, so the teacher must understand each child intimately, establish a strong emotional bond, and help them identify both their strengths and areas for improvement. Motivation thrives on closeness and constant support, allowing each student to reach their full potential. Therefore, we offer a 7-student-to-teacher ratio up to age 9, ensuring the personalized attention each child needs to fully develop.

METHODOLOGIES

Science has advanced enormously in recent years, revealing new insights into how the brain works and how children learn. These discoveries have validated fundamental aspects of methodologies such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia, and have led to innovative approaches such as Problem-Based Learning, developed at McMaster University, and Project-Based Learning, originating at Harvard University. At Canadian International School of Seville, we implement the best of each methodology at the right time to foster real and lasting learning that allows each student to reach their full potential.

TEACHING STAFF

Our teaching team is essential to achieving our educational goals. We look for professionals who love education as much as we do and who believe in a truly personalized approach focused on individual motivation. During the selection process, we value attitude first and foremost. In addition to their academic qualifications, we offer a month of intensive training at our facilities to ensure that the entire team shares and is committed to our educational vision.

Our teachers are trained to establish strong emotional bonds with each student, fostering a relationship based on trust that promotes long-term learning and comprehensive development.

EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT

Students should enjoy the learning process, as learning is about discovering and better understanding the world around us. This is only achieved in an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and discussing ideas. A quality, long-lasting education requires active and engaged students, not silent rows of students. Therefore, our facilities are essential. We have 60-square-meter classrooms (houses), designed in a welcoming manner and featuring a foyer where students remove their shoes upon entering, dining areas, and spaces that mimic a second home. Each classroom (house) has learning corners, such as a reading corner next to a large window where students are read to daily, fostering a safe and familiar environment where questioning and discovery come naturally.

SUBJECTS

Subjects must connect with our students' real world, demonstrating the practical usefulness of knowledge for their adult lives. Based on the latest scientific advances, we have abandoned the traditional, fragmented division of subjects, adopting an integrative approach. In the early stages, learning is organized into uninterrupted sessions that link concepts holistically, preventing children from perceiving content as isolated compartments. At the end of primary school, students are introduced to the concept of subjects, while in secondary school, they specialize, with each subject taught in specifically designed classrooms and transfers according to their schedule.

In addition, we consider it essential to incorporate non-academic subjects that prepare students for real life, such as entrepreneurship, public speaking, financial literacy, cooking, nutrition, and lifestyle, among others.

LANGUAGES

For students to use English naturally and fluently, it is essential to immerse them in a complete linguistic environment. Therefore, English is the official language of our school, while Spanish is taught as a second language only in strictly necessary subjects. All classes are taught in English to ensure true immersion; the teaching team that supports students throughout the day speaks exclusively English, while a small group speaks Spanish, allowing limited and controlled contact. Furthermore, in primary school, we incorporate Mandarin Chinese as a third language, expanding our students' language skills and preparing them for a globalized world. This strategy, based on the latest scientific advances in learning, ensures a natural and lasting acquisition of English and strengthens communication skills in multiple languages.

ORGANIC FOOD

Educational excellence extends to every detail, including our students' nutrition. We have a cook and a nutritionist who design organic, natural, and zero-mile menus, free of added sugars, fried foods, and ultra-processed foods. Our balanced diet adapts to each stage of child growth, providing essential nutrients to nourish the mind and enhance learning.

We use whole grains such as oats, whole wheat, and quinoa, rich in B vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which promote concentration, memory, and cognitive development. We also incorporate a wide variety of foods: fresh fruits and vegetables to provide antioxidants and vitamins; quality proteins, legumes, and fish.

This holistic approach to nutrition not only promotes a healthy physical state but also strengthens academic performance.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY

At our school, the safety of our students is an unwavering priority. The entire team is committed to protecting the identity and well-being of students through confidentiality agreements, ensuring that all personal information is handled with the utmost care and discretion.

We have a rigorous access control system in place for our facilities. Only parents or authorized individuals are allowed to enter the school, which is monitored through established protocols. Additionally, during peak traffic times, dedicated staff monitor each entrance and exit, ensuring that the environment remains secure and that only verified individuals have access.

This comprehensive approach allows us to offer a safe and trusting environment where every child can develop and learn without worry. Our commitment to safety is reflected in every aspect of our management, providing peace of mind to families and creating a space conducive to the holistic growth of our students.
