HIGHLIGHTS
IN PRIMARY EDUCATION:
METHODOLOGY
At this stage, Project-Based Learning (from McMaster University) and Problem-Based Learning (from Harvard University) methodologies are consolidated as key tools, continuing with the previous stage where these concepts were introduced. Now, taking advantage of the students' maturity, we delve deeper into project-based work so they learn to collaborate rather than compete, reflecting an environment similar to the real world, where sharing and learning as a team is essential for developing empathetic and collaborative individuals. Furthermore, we promote holistic learning that connects subjects and applies knowledge in practical contexts, reinforcing motivation and the practical value of what they've learned. We also foster creativity and public speaking skills, encouraging students to present their projects to peers and teachers, all conducted in a 100% English-language environment.
SUBJECTS
Our subjects are interconnected to demonstrate how to apply knowledge in real-life contexts, turning each subject into a practical tool for problem-solving and reinforcing both motivation and practical application of what they've learned. We aim for students to enjoy the learning process, cultivating curiosity and enthusiasm, which allows them to develop independently throughout their lives and adapt to future challenges. Continuous learning is a key tool for their personal and professional success. We also incorporate non-academic subjects such as Positive Psychology, Cooking, Nutrition, and Strategies for Survival in Adverse Situations, which complement academic knowledge. This interdisciplinary approach enriches the educational experience and prepares students to apply their knowledge in real-life contexts, fostering practical skills and collaborative problem-solving.
DAY
Our school day is structured so that 100% of the work is done in the classroom, under the guidance of highly trained teachers. This model creates an optimal environment in which students explore and work collaboratively, receiving personalized support, which strengthens their autonomy and intrinsic motivation. Outside of the classroom, we encourage them to pursue their own interests and enjoy family life, unburdened by homework.
Our schedule is seamless and flexible. Breaks are determined by the teacher based on students' engagement, performance, and fatigue, avoiding bells or sirens. Although subjects are taught in dedicated classrooms, this adaptable structure allows for smooth transitions and a natural, pressure-free learning experience.
Science supports the idea that a continuous and flexible learning environment supports brain development, reduces stress, and improves concentration, promoting the integration of cognitive, emotional, and social skills essential for academic and personal success.
TECHNOLOGY
Our approach to technology is based on delaying the introduction of digital devices in the classroom, prioritizing activities that enhance natural and social skills. Scientific studies indicate that excessive exposure to screens at an early age can negatively affect attention, sleep, and cognitive development. Therefore, we use technology only when strictly necessary to search for information that complements the proposed projects, always using shared devices that limit prolonged and unnecessary use.
This method allows students to develop their creativity and capacity for direct interaction, stimulating the formation of neural connections through hands-on experiences. By maintaining a focus on holistic and healthy learning, we ensure that technology acts as a timely tool, without interfering with attention or cognitive development. In this way, we offer a balanced development environment conducive to academic and personal success.
