CURRENT EDUCATION ANCHORED IN THE 20TH CENTURY

We offer a personalized, Canadian-inspired education with small classes using active, science-based methodologies to maximize each student's potential. We create classrooms adapted to changing needs, where collaboration replaces competition and subjects are interconnected so that what is learned has practical meaning. We also prepare students for real-life adulthood by teaching useful skills and knowledge, all in an environment where English is the official language. To balance their development, we have reduced the school day, eliminating homework, and thus facilitating a more fulfilling childhood.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
Our educational program is based on personalized instruction, with small groups of 7 students per teacher up to the age of 9, allowing for close attention to each student's needs. We employ active, scientifically based methodologies to stimulate critical thinking, creativity, and autonomy. Furthermore, our classrooms are designed to adapt to changing needs, promoting collaboration rather than competition and ensuring that learning is an enriching experience for all.
To make knowledge practical, we connect subjects and teach essential skills for real-life adulthood, from finance and entrepreneurship to self-care. English is our official language, and we offer a third language starting in elementary school, immersing students in a linguistic environment that prepares them for a globalized world. We also shorten the school day by eliminating homework, providing more time for family, play, and the full development of each child.
8 ADVANTAGES OF OUR EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM:
01
PERSONALIZED EDUCATION
Science tells us that every brain is unique. Every child has unique strengths, interests, and talents, and it's impossible to nurture them if the teacher is sitting in front of 25 or 30 students. We want each child to feel valued and cared for, which is why our classes are small, with 14 students per group and a 7-to-teacher ratio for children up to age 9. Only in this way can we truly enhance their abilities, passions, and potential, giving them the attention they deserve.
02
SCIENTIFICLY BASED ACTIVE METHODOLOGIES
Society is changing at an astonishing speed. The most repetitive tasks will be performed by machines, and our young people will need to be prepared for that future: skills such as the ability to think, be creative, and find solutions will be essential. That's why we use methodologies such as Montessori, Problem- Based Learning, and Project -Based Learning, in which they investigate, ask questions, and are capable of learning for themselves. They can work on projects, solve complex problems, speak in public, and collaborate with their peers. These are the skills that will truly serve them in a future where curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking will be essential.
03
CLASSROOMS ADAPTED TO NEW NEEDS
We don't want our students to feel like they're in a school 150 years ago, all standing in a line, staring silently ahead. Classrooms should be spacious and welcoming spaces where they can sit in groups, discuss ideas, show their work, and discover their artistic or personal side, not just their academic one. We want them to feel safe, comfortable, and encouraged to explore without fear of making mistakes. That's how real learning happens.
04
COLLABORATION INSTEAD OF COMPETITION
School should be more like real life. What's the point of pitting students against each other when today's world demands people capable of collaborating, sharing, and learning from others? Here, we don't look for winners or losers, but rather for peers who support each other, learn together, and combine talents. Only in this way will we develop more humane, empathetic people who are prepared to work as a team tomorrow.
05
ENJOY LEARNING AND LINKING KNOWLEDGE
06
PREPARE THEM FOR REAL ADULT LIFE
We need them to understand the world that awaits them. In addition to academics, it's essential that they acquire knowledge and skills to manage their lives, laying the foundation in financial, entrepreneurial, legal, healthcare, and many other areas that will have enormous influence on their adult lives. We want them to graduate prepared to make informed decisions, to be independent and responsible.
07
ENGLISH AS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
At the Canadian International School of Seville, English is the official language, and all classes are taught entirely in English. This total immersion approach allows our students to speak English fluently and naturally, as if it were their first language. Additionally, starting in elementary school, we offer a third language, such as German or Chinese, further expanding their linguistic and cultural competencies.
08
SHORTER SCHOOL DAYS BY ELIMINATING HOMEWORK
We don't believe in pressuring children with endless homework. If as adults we consider a 40-hour workweek sufficient, why not apply the same logic to our students? Time outside of school is for spending time with family, playing, resting, reading for pleasure, or playing sports. Balance is key, and our job is to teach them to learn, not to sacrifice their childhood.
For this reason, all classes, activities, and materials are designed to be worked on in class, leaving the rest of the day outside of school free so that children can fully experience their childhood.
